Ken is one of nation's most successful real estate brokers, having been named the #1 Keller Williams Agent in Northern California (out of over 3,600 agents) and being listed in the Top 10 in Keller Williams nationwide (out of 75,000 agents). On a local level, Ken was also the top real estate broker for all brokerages for combined sales in the cities of Palo Alto, Los Altos and Mountain View in 2008, having sold 40 homes for over $60,000,000 in sales.
Ken attributes his success to his background, which allows him to provide a high level of expertise and educational insight to his clients. After completing college with distinction and honors in Mathematics and Economics, Ken graduated with High Honors from U.C. Berkeley's School of Law (Boalt). He was then employed as an intellectual property attorney at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati for several years before following his passion for real estate.
Ken, above all else, is excited about his job and loves working with his clients, who are comprised of Stanford professors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and professionals. While diverse in their backgrounds and philosophies, they are universally interesting to Ken. In no way does Ken approach his practice as a salesman, but instead as a real estate professor providing his clients with the information, analytics and knowledge to make an informed decision.
Ken has brought Silicon Valley innovation to the generally staid practice of real estate. Examples of this include providing all of his buyers with a DVD that features videos of Ken's analysis of neighborhoods, including insight into the reasons why some neighborhoods have better future appreciation potential than others. For sellers, Ken provides exceptional and revolutionary marketing including hiring a professional videographer to do a video tour (not a passé virtual tour) to showcase the home on a custom website. Lattes and catered food are provided at the broker tour and lattes are offered at open houses, which are advertised with full-page color ads in local newspapers.
Ken loves his job and seeks to constantly evolve and grow while overcoming any challenges he faces in real estate or life. Ken has recently beaten cancer, recovered from being hit by a drugged driver going 45 mph while walking with his father on the sidewalk, and happily conveys the life lessons he has learned in his nearly complete memoirs, Why Do Bad Things Happen to Sexy People?
Ken lives in Palo Alto with his wife and 4 children. Ken truly believes that real estate is one's best investment and personally owns 4 investment properties in Palo Alto and Mountain View.
